Yes, thats right. I believe John and Catherine's children were possibly:

Christina
Ann
John
Catherine
Neil
Alexander
Donald
Duncan

I haven't spent too much time confirming them all and tidying this group up yet.  I go down rabbit holes and am currently slightly obsessed with my GGrandmother:)

I think the Ferguson side you sound like you have it in outline to progress later.

I agree though, Catherine and son David's birth and early census entries for him remain a mystery for now!

Catherine's son Duncan has remarried to Agnes in 1889 and David living with maternal grandmother Catherine McIntyre?
