Hi everyone,
I'm doing my family tree and found that I have 2 direct aunties who were adopted. 1 aunty was called Marian Procter born May 1934 in Leeds. My second aunty was named Joan Procter  and born near Preston Lancashire in 1935 but was adopted and renamed Susan Joan Humphreys. My father didn't talk about his life and grew apart from his parents.

The births of both of the names mentioned show the mothers maiden name was Riley

The adopted childs name could be one of several marriages between 1955 - 1975 as we don’t know where she lived

I can only find Joan on the 1939 Register, but both are on the birth records.
One was born in Leeds District and the other in Amounderness District, Lancashire.

Both have the same mother's maiden name, so one of the birth certificates might be of benefit.

Hi and thankyou. I have her birth certificate. I'm trying to find any relatives she may have as she was my father's younger sister. My father never mentioned his sister he might not have known as he was only 4 when she was born.
