Hello,
Looking for Passenger Lists/Arrival/Emigration Records for Frederick Oskar Anderson, who was born in March 3, 1870 in Nysund, Örebro, Sweden, and settled in Chicago by 1910. He was a resident of Nysund, Sweden at least until 1895. He married Ada J Bush in 1900 in Orland Park, Illinois. Thanks for any assistance on his roots as well.

There's a tree for him on Family Search, consisting of about 24 records. It includes the Sweden-related records, as well.

For example, here's his 1870 birth record. You need to register and log in to view the record.

Family Search is also good for US Passenger manifest records from around the turn of the century.

Perhaps if someone could find his Naturlization Record, that would pin down the ship. Brian

Brian - Have you checked Family Search? They have some US Naturalisation records with images.

Ancestry may have some, too.  Illinois, U.S., Federal Naturalization Records, 1856-1991

Possibility from the Illinois, Northern District, Naturalization Petition Index on FS.

According to the 1930 census he did naturalize.

Hi

According to your tree on FamilySearch he was born on 18 July 1870 in Nysund - Oskar Fredrik Johansson. There is no Fredrik Oscar Andersson born that year in Nysund:

This is the same Oskar leaving Nysund 23 March 1893:

The same Oskar left Gothenburg 7 April 1893:

The same Oskar arrived New York on 25 April 1893 on the Chester:

He changed his name to Anderson later on. In Sweden the surnames followed the patronymic system back then.

I am assuming that this is the right man of course. It does look to be so.
