James Barlow

Hello there  am helping a freind 

James Barlow  married Elizabeth  Broughton 21st January 1817  in Little Bowden.    She was born  1793

They had moved to Leeds by 1841.  They had eight children have thier details

I am unable to find date of birth or  parents or siblings of James  Barlow

If you can help many thanks

Could you please give us the details from the 1841 census.  Found it, children as listed below except James

Do you have James on later census as it would help to know where he was supposedly born

Which census gives his birthplace as Northants?  What birthyear is given?

Presumably these are their children all baptised at Little Bowden
Mary Ann 1818
William 1820
Henry 1822
James 1824
Frederick 1829
Bernard 1831 (aka Barnet)
Emma Elizabeth 1832

According to the 1841 census they were all born in Yorkshire so that information is obviously incorrect.
James and Elizabeth are both listed as 40.

Hi  Yes it was incorrect  the 1841 C    Bernard was also known as Barnet

The three youngest children are back in Leicester in 1851, living in different houses.  Where are their parents

James occupation is recorded variously as Wheelwright, Journeyman Wheelwright, Sawyer and Labourer. Believe his wife Elizabeth died 1844 Leicester.

Possible marriage, 6th October 1845, James Barlow aged 50, widower, occupation Wheelwright, abode Oxford Street, Leics,, father William Barlow occ--Farmer

Frances Swinfield, aged 48, widow, father Thomas Carrington-occ-Turner.

1851 has him age 56 born Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire

ADDED
Frances is born Kings Cliff.  There is also a married daughter Emma Hall age 23 bn Kings Cliff, presumably Frances's daughter
