Searching for information on the following
CAROLINE  maiden name HAWKINS born c 1846 Wells Somerset.
First Marriage to  ???? WEAVER c 1868
Second Marriage  to ROBERT LANCASTLE at Cheltenham Register Office Aug 1880.

Would like confirmation of her parents
JOHN and ANN they married at Yatton
Somerset no dates but should be prior to 1840.
Any information greatly appreciated.Thank You

June 1/4 1853 John Hawkins marries Mary Ann Cardwell in Wells (awaiting cert to prove)

1861 census for Wells
John Hawkins   45   Labourer   Wells
Ann Mary   40   Clutton
Henry   19  labourer   Wells
Caroline 15  Wells
John   6   Wells     (my gt grandfather)

I have not got any info on John's first wife. but looking for a death between 1849 (birth of Emma Jun 1/4 1849 and 1851 census)

1871 John is again a widower

marries Elizabeth Lockyer Sep 1/4 1871

1891 he is again a widower and dies before the 1901 census

Many thanks for your information.
Looks as though your Gt Grandfather John and my Husband's Gt Grandmother Caroline were Brother and Sister.
Caroline went on to marry twice her second Husband was my Husbands Gt Grandfather his name Robert Lancastle.
Have you found Johns first wifes death yet if not would you like me to help?
John didn't have much luck in the marriage stakes did he.
Again many thanks  I didn't have anything much on John senior.

To find John's first wife's name we will need to get one of the childrens birth certs to find mothers name.

That should tell us where they were living and we may be able to find the church for baptisms.

Have baptism record of Caroline Hawkins showing her mother's name as Anne but unfortunately no maiden name.  He seems to have married 3 Ann(e)s!

GRO index for Henry Hawkins 1840, Charles 1843, Caroline 1846, Emma Sophia 1849 all have mothers maiden name as James. All registered Wells.

ADDED
There is a John Callow Hawkins who marries Charlotte James 26 February 1838.
His father James  a butcher
Her father George  a labourer
Witness are William Hawkins and (Francis Byrd he signs others so maybe the clerk)

John Hawkins 25  ag lab.
Charlotte 23
Arthur 2*
Henry 7 months

 registered Wells Union 1839
He died age 5 registered Wells Union September quarter 1843

Are you both sure which Hawkins family you are following
1841 census Yatton Somerset
John Hawkins 30
Ann 30
Charles 9
John 7
Mary 5
George 2

1851 census Yatton Somerset
Ann 41
Mary Ann 14
George 12
William 8
*Caroline 7

These children have mothers maiden name Tripp and were registered in Bedminster

John Hawkins married Ann Tripp 21 October 1829 at St James Bristol.
