I’m wondering if there’s no sign of her in later censuses 1891, etc because she was in prison and under her initials?

1901 - Margt Walsh b Hull c1852 is a prisoner in a jail in Southall St, Cheetham, Manchester, aka Strangeways

Great find! I think this could be her. 

Looks like there’s a sister Ellen, too. Born 21 Aug 1856 baptised 22 Aug 1858 at Hull, dau of Patrick Forrester & Ann Buckley. She appears in the same 1861 census.

I purchased the GRO record which confirms this birth is for the Margaret in the 1861 census. Born 24 Dec 1851 Trepell Street and mother Ann living De la Pole Place (which where she was living in 1851 census).

I do wonder where the Venus part came from

This looks intriguing..I remember an ancestry tree had Margaret Forrest with her father as James Forrest. So possibly this is where that came from. Thanks
