I am looking for someone who can access the
Chirk Parish Records [1602-2004] which are held at the Denbighshire Archive Service.
I am unfortunately in Australia, so short of getting on a plane and going to Wales, it seems I have hit a dead end in my family tree research as Ancestry does not have Parish Records from Chirk pre-1845.
I am looking into information about a
Evan Davies of Chirk who married a
May/Mary Roberts in St Martin's, Shropshire in May, 1751, who appear to have had a son - Robert Davies, just 5 months later in October, 1751. Who I believe is the father of 'Robert Davies of the Rock' born. 1773. (Previously discussed here:

I have a feeling Chirk is quite important to the Davies story pre 1750, as 'Chirk Bank', 'Chirk', and the nearby 'Cefn Mawr' are all common places in later generations.
