In the 1851 census Mary Ann Tonks, Head, not married, (40) is living in Hollum, Kingswinford. Schedule 39 Page 9 Folio 569.

Living with her are Maria Brooks, Sister, married, (36) and family, Josh 36, Joshua 11, Elizabeth 8, and Edward 6.

and Elizabeth Cooper, Sister, married (63) and family. Joseph 62 and his granddaughter Sarah 18.

The ages of the sisters are 27 years apart which is a long time.

Can anyone see the marriages of the two sisters ?
and any clue which would link the three sisters, Mary Ann, Maria and Elizabeth?

1851 is really messy. Apart from Mary Ann Tonks  every one else is transcribed as Browley,

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but father and son match, Olive is missing in 1851 ,
wife is Elizabeth in 1841
No Birth registrations found for the children to confirm mmn.
Could Maria be a second marriage.

I’m sure you are correct. You found  Maria married Josh Brooks in 1848 and the children listed in the 1851 census were born previous to the marriage.

I also found 1841 Halesowen, West Brom. Josh Brooks 1816, Ann 1817, and Josh 1841

Both Ann and Elizabeth look possibilities !
