I do feel for people in such situations ,not much they can do is there really.

Haven’t we seen some big climate changes recently.
Whatever will things be like for our grand children and G.grandchildren!

Cold but sunny morning.
Phoned my friend in Wales, 91 today.
Still very active ,jolly little Jack Russell dog she walks for half an hour in the morning then a neighbour takes him for his big afternoon walk.
We have been friends since I returned to Manchester from Shropshire in 1944.
They were at M/c airport to “ see us off” when my boys and I left to join my husband in Belgium,I have never forgotten that kindness .
We have had some laughs.

Waiting for Tesco delivery ,mid -day.
Fridge sorted ready.

Well no news really , look after yourselves
Viktoria.

Thanks Roobarb for the RC posts..we’ve been looking at the Brisbane Councils Emergency dashboard along with other up to date live info.

Lovely sunny day here today and outside in just a T shirt! OH has mowed the lawns for the first time and I’ve just cleaned out the inside of both cars..

Relaxing with lunch then France v Ireland rugby to watch!
Hope everyone else is having nice weather.

Just reading your updates on that linked thread Caroline, hopefully the scenario for your son is at a manageable stage, a worry indeed for all feeling helpless.
We arrived home to Auckland from Brisbane on Thursday, they were announcing cancellations and closures by then so happy not to be caught up with that. Had lovely family time with #2 sis for her 80th birthday a couple of weekends back, met her 3 year old grandson for the first time along with his mother which was nice. She, nephew's fiancee, also has a 13 year old daughter, so more family  :) A while since together with niece and her 23 year old son as well and they all chipped in with making it a very fine special occasion for sis, great family and friends, lovely food, flowers etc ...

Picked up 2 testing kits from pharmacy before flying home, a 3 way test we hadn't had or knew of previously. 3 slots to put drops in, one each for Covid/RSV/Flu . Negative test for first 2 thankfully but a positive each for the flu, different symptoms we had, mine just started and presented more like a head cold, his a persistent cough for previous few days but thankfully on last leg of holiday and home relatively safe and sound. Still lovely and Summery at home, just a hint of Autumn chill.

Be well all x

Hope you are soon better, mare, and that Caroline’s family are safe.

Another lovely “ Summer’s “ day here - bright ,warm sunshine .

Two of my Fuchsias have died, well no new green buds as yet.
In pots .

They are very inexpensive , Morrison’s will have some.

I have a big “ shiner”—- old word for black eye.
Putting some clothes away yesterday ,bent down to the drawer, mis -judged
and banged my forehead on the top of the chest of drawers, oak- wow! I saw stars .
Went downstairs and put icy cold Witch Hazel on it ,always have that in the fridge for when the tiddlers come, so no bruising on the bang but on blood thinners!- so next morning a lovely purple bruise lower down my forehead, over my eyebrow, and round my eye and down my cheek .
“ You should see the other fella!”

Tesco order just come so must “ hie me hence!” It is early so no complaints .
Whatever I did on my first attempt to order I don’t know but got notifucation it would  be waiting for me to “ click and collect  at Peel Way store in Bury!”
 :-[ :-\
Cheerio, Viktoria.

Viktoria,  so sorry you had an accident yesterday but have to admit,.  I did laugh,  my mum used to say " you should see the one who got away" .
Please take care and look after the bruise, these things are so easily done aren't they.

Viktoria - for the bruising check out arnica cream or gel.  I find it works wonders.

ADDED:  BUT of course consult your pharmacist or doctor first.  ;)
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Sorry to hear the chest of drawers was out to get you… darned thing! I often hit my head on the cooker hood as it’s glass and I misjudge it 😂😂 no damage done though..
take care and look after the bruise..

My family are safe, well no water in the house and power restored.. still lots of cleaning up outside once water goes down.. one of their neighbours still without power as large tree fell across their power line.. but all hands to the pump, literally, and helping one another out..
D-in-laws birthday on Wednesday and their anniversary on Thursday.. they were due to visit friends on the Sunshine Coast for a few days… first time they’d have been away since she’d been on dialysis and transplant but don’t think that’s going to happen now such a shame.

Well another dull day after all that beautiful sunshine at the w/end 😢.
Take care everyone
