Hi Kristen

Its no problem.
You may just have to wait a few weeks for this one as i have about 10 others to lookup and i wont be able to go today as im going down to the mother inlaws tommorow and still havent got anything sorted yet .but as long as your willing to wait i will find out for you.

Spending to much time on here cant get anything else done but i think im not the only one :-\    we are all addicted to this site now.

Angela,

No problem.  I am patient.  I can look at Jessie's picture on my wall as I wait patiently.  I waited 4 years to find her death record.  I can wait a few more weeks for a confirmation of her birth.  Your help is so welcome.  I just paid for Scotland's people last night and could not find her definitively.  Oh well.  Glasgow is just too large of a place.- Thank you again- Kristin

Fifer,
When you have the time, I would appreciate a lookup in the 1851 Lanarkshire Census for the following family in Glasgow:

1851 Lanarkshire, Glasgow:
Hughes, James, 29, b. Fettercairn, Kincardineshire
             Barbara, 24, b. Fetteresso,       “
             Amelia, 2, b. Navan, Ireland
             James A., infant, b. Glasgow

Thank you very much, Angela, for your generous offer of lookups.  I know you are swamped with requests, and will be happy to hear from you whenever you get the opportunity.

Thank you for the information it is nice to get information that you don't already have.  I was interested to find out that on her birth cert her mothers name was Jane Bird but the marriage cert is Jane Birrell.

The 1901 census might shed some light on the Meldrum family and give me an approx 10 year span to work on for the death.

Other Meldrum names in the same family were
James born 1859, Mary 1864, Margaret born 1867 and of course the Jane that you looked up born 1861 who married Hector.

Thanks again. :)
