Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Unknown Family group
« on: Friday 29 August 08 21:04 BST (UK)  »
This postcard was sent to an unknow recipient.  It is in the possesion of my father in law who is a decendant of the Fagan Family.  The young girl in the photo I believe is Rose Ann Fagan who marreid Robert Carruthers in 1915 - this is talked about in the postcard.  I am unsure who the other people are.  The other facts which are talked about match what I know that Edward Fagan served in Eygpt and Patrick was injured and was hospitalised.  If anyone can shed any further light on the photo it would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Cumberland / Robert Syndney carruthers
« on: Friday 29 August 08 20:12 BST (UK)  »
Robert Sydney Carruthers married Rose Ann Fagan on 14th Aug 1915. He was the son of John and Sarah Ann.  They were living in Workington.  The carruthers family seem to be born in Cumberland but the 1901 census is dificult to read.  Does anyone know what happened to Robert as Rose Ann married again in 1920.  I assume he died in WWI but cannot find a definite proof of this.

Thank you

Cumberland / Tognarelli marries Fagan
« on: Wednesday 27 August 08 19:46 BST (UK)  »
Within our family tree I have found a marriage between Elizabteh J Fagan and Renzo A L Tognarelli in 1942.  She is deffinitley from Workington and I think he was too.  The marriage appears to have taken place down in Oxford.  There is a Tognarelli family in Whitehaven on the 1901 Census consisting of 3 brothers and their cousin Celestion.   Celestino married in Barrow and then moved to Ulverston.  The other brothers were Ferrucio, Filippo and Giovanne.  If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.

World War One / Look up request
« on: Thursday 10 May 07 21:58 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone have access to the absent voters list for 1918?  I'm trying to establish what regiment Edward and possibly Patrick Fagan were in.  They were originally from Workington in Cumbria so I guess the records would be in the records office in either Whitehaven or Carlise.  Thank you

Cumberland Lookup Requests / Patrick Fagan - father of Edward b1863
« on: Friday 13 April 07 23:44 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find information about Patrick Fagan, possibly from Rathfriland in County Down.  He was the father of Edward Fagan who moved to Workington.  Patrick had died by 1882 I don't know if he ever came over to England with his son.  That is all I know any possible leads would be helpful
