Thanks for looking for Abbott Durell.

I was hoping he would be in Deptford/Greenwich as he isn't in Bethnall Green,Whitechapel or Shoreditch on their 1851 census returns.

Although now he has turned up as DAVELL on the 1861, and his son is listed as DUVELL on 1881 and DUVELL and DURELL for family members on 1901 I may have to re-visit those.

His son(Abbott) lists his birthplace as Bethnall Green c1850 although I haven't yet located a birth certificate (again will try more variations of the name)

Thanks for your help anyway.

Thanks for your help Allan

Actually this isn't the family but every little helps!!

I am looking for ABBOTT DURELL and his family.  I know he died in 1863 in Church Street.  He was a stevedore on the death cert but on his son Abbott's wedding cert he was a Licensed Victualler (although he was dead).

PubsIndex have records of him being at the "Earl of Chatham" in Hughesfield in 1859 and "The White Swan" Wapping in 1855 but I can't find anything to confirm this.  I can't even find a marriage ref. and no reference on any of the census so far.

Even his son's birth doesn't seem to be listed although it states he was born in Bethnall Green on 1881 - the the family are listed as DUVELL!!

Thanks anyway

I am looking for an entry for the Durell family in Church Street which I believe is St Pauls Deptford.

I have a death certificate dated 1863 for 190 Church Street so I am hoping the family were there in 1861 as well.

Many thanks

hi

I think Deptford was included with Kent in the 1851 census
(hope so anyway)

I am looking for ABBOTT DURELL b.1821

He died in Church Street, Deptford in 1863 but I also have unconfirmed details that he was at the Earl of Chatham, Hughesfield, Deptford in 1859.

I am also looking for a Mary Durell of about the sam age.

Many thanks

Sorry - he was 42 and I know he had a son also called Abbott but don't know if there were other siblings.

Is there anyone who could look on the 1851 or 61 census for ABBOTT DURELL, he died in 1863 in Deptford (address was 190 Church Street) and he was a stevedore at that time.  I think he also had connections with the Earl of Chatham Pub in Deptford.  His wife was Mary Ann Durell.

Any info about any Durell's would be gratefully received.

Hi

If you still have a bit of spare time could you please look up Thomas Woolmore at 6 Albion Street.  He was there in 1861 aged 51 with wife Jane also aged 51.
At that time it looks as if Jane's mother Mary Ann Duvell/ Durell  is living with them and it is her I am am hoping to find.

Many thanks
