Thanks very much. This is the Annie Sinclair I'm looking for because I know she had a sister Roxie Elliottt that she lived with later in life. Since she died in Petrolia It's likely she was buried in Hillsdale Cemetery with her parents.
Great work, thanks Christmas 53

Hi am trying to find out when Annie Sinclair from Petrolia Ontario died and where she was buried. according to the 1871 census she was born in 1865 to Duncan Sinclair and Catherine smith. Her sisters were Jennie and Roxalina. Her parents were buried in Hillsdale Cemetery in Petrolia but I have no record of her there. In the 1949 Petrolia voters list she is listed as a spinster. I haven't found any further record of her.
Thanks for any help

Canada / Re: John Argue of Solina Ontario

Thanks to all and I will follow up with your suggestions as best as I can. I did read the booklet called 'A Place Called Solina' many years ago but I don't remember a mention of John.
There were many Argue's from Co. Cavan who came to Canada many settling in what is now Stittsville near Ottawa. They were I believe probably cousins of John and they came around 1821. But if John came with them he would have likely stayed in that area.

I am looking for information on John Argue who was born about 1807 in County Cavan Ireland. I'm trying to find out what year he came to Durham County in Canada and what year he married. He must have been single when he  came because he married Mary Stevens daughter of David Stevens and Mary Burk of Darlington Township. Mary was born in Canada. They farmed at Solina in Durham County and their first born Ira Richard was born in 1833 so they were probably married between 1830 and 1833.

Isabella Garretttt's  will from the Ohio Wills & Probate Records from 1786-1998 show lists her son as Wm. D. Fraser from Cleveland and daughters May and Helen.
I believe this is strong evidence that this is Donalds wife and that this William is his child.
Isabella has a Find a Grave Memorial #116949785

All I know about William was his name and where he lived. He was born before or just after Donald died in 1862 or 63. I can't find Donald in the 1851 or 1861 census which might have his family.
The Donald in Huron County is in census records for 1871 so thats not my Donald.

Thanks for all the good suggestions. The Catherine who moved to Caledon Township was my great great grandmother and an older sister of Donald. It was two of her granddaughters who put the first family tree together and all they had on Donald was where he died and when and his son William D. in Cleveland.
I have considered the Donald from Huron County in the census mentioned, and although I suspect he was related to Angus Fraser another of Catherine's brothers, I think there would have been more about Donald in the original family tree if this was him and why would he be buried in Penetang.
