Hi Chris,
I too am interested in any information on this family.
I believe that Elizabeth was my G G Grandmother. I believe she married Thomas Peters in 1848 and their first two sons were born at Montacute.
The only clues I have is that on Elizabeths death cert. her son in law put her father's name as John Harris (miner) and her mother as somebody White and that she was born in Camborn.

One unverified entry in the LDS IGI has a John Harris = Ann White in Conwall in 1822.
It would be interesting to see what the death cert of John Harris says (providing he died after 1907 in SA)

Hi Dee, I notice that Alice was born in Nhil in 1885, so it all fits bar the mother. When I downloaded the marriage cert of William and Maria some of it was different to the index (index said Maria born Adelaide & cert. said Sandhurst Vic). I would like to bet that this is the right Alice. I tried looking through the NSW index to see if she married as she would have been only about 15 in 1900 when they came up to Parkes, but found nothing.

Thank you very much for your time and effort.

Hi Dee,
Thats great!
The death cert lists William R, Ellen ER, Martha R H, Florence E W & one female deceased.
It looks as if  Alice Emma is the one who died. Is there any record of her dying in Vic or SA.

Hi,
I would like to find the children of William Peters = Maria Beddell in Casterton Vic 1878.
On william's NSW death cert. it lists 4 children & 1 female deceased. I think the youngest Florence was born in NSW.

Thank you.

Hi, Thank you for Jane, I had not heard of her before. Maybe Eliza died after they moved to Victoria. She is listed as dead on her father Thomas' death cert. in 1887. district of Kaniva Vic.
The information from the South Australians posted by Kris is interesting as it has some wrong information.
Joseph's wife was Sarah Lyon from Glentworth Linc. as seen in the 1851 Blyborough Linc census.I have noticed that a lot of people are confused with the Lyons/Marshall thing on Ancestry.com trees.

Hi, Thank you both very much. That answers my question as Mary Ann Bell was Mary Ann Gurnell (quite often misspelt).

Thank you very much Kris. All that information has answered a lot of questions and helped me put in a few more pieces of the jigsaw.

Very much appreciated
