Well said Viktoria on all points, I couldn’t agree with you more!
My mother (Maggie Thatcher lover) God rest her soul..  and my husband not! We’re constantly at loggerheads making for some interesting conversations…

As a woman I feel duty bound to vote as our right to vote was such a fight, but in all honesty I’m at a loss as who to vote for unless it’s the Monster Raving Loony party as they’d have as much luck in running the country as the next person.. ah well we can now look forward to a months worth of promises that will likely be broken!

On another note, what a dreadful day of rain, got my sweet peas planted just in time so they’ll now have had a good drench!

Take care all

Dull and miserable today, so different to yesterday… got some sweet peas to put in but have to make a wigwam and tie them in..😩 can’t say I’m enthusiastic to get out as rain is looming.

Everything is growing like mad and now beech hedge needs dealing with but think that’s going to have to wait!

Keep cheerful everyone, hopefully the summer weather will arrive soon as it’s June at the end of next week.

Hats off to you RTL I don’t know how you do your job and stay sane!

Take care

We had a wasps nest in our loft, fortunately not inhabited but it was beautifully created.
I've watched them taking wood from our garden furniture quite fascinating to watch … from a distance!
It wasn’t quite so funny when I was taking compost out our bin and kept batting away an odd wasp then I put my fork into the corner and quite a few flew out so I made a hasty retreat!
The weather is lovely today, clear blue skies… great to be out in the garden and get jobs done.
Now sorting out half term activities for our two grandsons who are coming to stay for the week… 🤞for good weather!

Have a good week everyone.

Take care and hope you can get out into your garden, or a walk on your beautiful beach ..

Beautiful here today, warm sunshine unlike yesterday which started off very misty and quite chilly.
Daughter and eldest grandson stayed with us on Friday night as grandson had an all sports tournament nearby.
We spent all day there and were completely cream crackered by the time we got home! Weather cleared up late in the day in time for the finals which they won hurray!
Have a good day all and hope the warm weather improves everyone’s wellbeing.

Sorry to hear of upcoming medical procedures and anxiety it’s causing. I’m sure as others have said these things are routine for the medics and you’ll be in good hands.
I wish all the best of luck to you and we’ll be thinking of you.

On a different matter ( the title of the post) I shall, as I have done for many years, be writing my daily events, thoughts of the day etc and send it off to Mass Obs.
The diaries are used by scholars/researchers to read to aid writing papers etc and I’m sure even what we might consider a mundane day could have a little nugget of information that could help someone somewhere to add interest or facts to a paper. Obviously the day of the week changes every year and what we do on given days also changes!

Good luck with your diary tomorrow.

That’s quite strange, as we’ve had daffs planted round two trees in the garden, never moved and they were more abundant this year than in past years… lucky?

Tulips on the other hand are another matter entirely! Sadly our local resident muntjac eat the tops off them most years alternating between different bunches! One lot I don’t think I’ve ever seen what colour they are.. this year twelve plants in one bunch nipped off! Hey ho lovely to have the wildlife just wish they’d find someone else’s occasionally..

Yesterday was a beautiful day, went with friends to a vintage car and steam rally… a flyover pr by a Spitfire was the highlight of the afternoon…

Today was forecast rain and has been fine all day and now just started to rain… all OH's vegs seem to be taking an age to do much..mind you who would in this unpredictable weather…

Have a good week everyone…
