Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: Pre WW1 Lambeth Building Name

Brian,

You may find the Charles Booth's London map of interest (Ref:- booth.lse.ac.uk) especially the notebook section which mentions several Quinn's Buildings in the city.  The map identifies various areas of poverty and deprivation in central Victorian London.

On an assumption that the location is Scotland, based on the information provided that the trial was in Inverness, the place you are looking for could be a misheard "Kilmorack" which is to the west of Inverness, or less likely "Kilmarnock" which is in Ayrshire.  There may however be other places with similar sounding names that I am unaware of, but which I am sure will be identified by other forum members.

I think the place you are looking for may be Weston, a very small group of houses just to the west of Kilncadzow shown on the 1773 Charles Ross map dated 1773. ( https://maps.nls.uk/view/216390106).  Possibly previously identified by Falkyrn.

The 'Scottish Genealogy Society' advertise a CD ROM of MI's for Millburn Church, Renton.  The advertised cost is £7.50 (http://shop.scotsgenealogy.com/cgi-bin/ss000001.pl?page=search&SS=millburn&ACTION=Go%21&PR=-1&TB=A)

William St. still exists, but regrettably the property and area you are interested in, between Union St. and Bankhead, appears to have been redeveloped sometime, I would think in the mid/ late 1970's.
William St. can be viewed on Streetview.

Kim,
FYI you wont find Westonlee Terr. on a map.  It was/is the name of a tenement building (1885) on Bonhill Rd. Dumbarton.  It is the grey sandstone building on the east side of Bonhill Rd., located between Round Riding Rd., and Latta St. and can be seen on Streetview.

I may be way off base with this, but it looks like Glenartney, Comrie.  The dot may be an extension of the entry above the one of interest to yourself.

The photograph of the three people in Mikulov was taken from the area adjacent to the Kozi Hrader looking towards the Church of St Wenceslas.
