Ella Richardson

I am trying to find some information on my grandmothers side of the family. Her name was Ella Richardson she was adopted by John Richardson and his wife and they lived in Middlesbrough. My Grandmother was born in 1888 and married my grandfather Alfred Wordsworth in 1915. All I know about her family is that her father was called John and they lived in Unthanks St in Middlesbrough at the time of her marriage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What was her father's occupation?, That will be on the marriage certificate.
What were witness' names?

On the 1891 she is with the family at 6 Unthank Street, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough

Pauline,  It just says Labourer on the wedding certificate and the two witnesses were Elsie Wordsworth , my grandad's sister and Mark Gillespie who was married to my great grandmother's sister on my grandad's side.

Jane  I just looked up the tees valley index and there is an Elsie Fletcher on record as being born in 1900. might be interesting to get the birth certificate and see who the parents are. I also found that  Mary's maiden name was Atkinson and she married John in 1881.

i also see that my grandmother lived at 6 Unthanks St till she got married in 1915. My dad was born in 1920 and they lived at 8 unthanks St when he was born. Mind you they had moved to woodstock in Oxfordshire in the mean time .......my grandad lived next to his in laws ..........hope they got on ok .lol
