Report this person to management at GR, Beverley. Not saying it won't take time, but you're not supposed to put living people in your tree without their permission. (You can't object to her putting the dead ones in.) Chris

I contacted GR re my living relations on another tree...........

they cntacted the person who has still not as yet removed them GRrrrrr

so am now contacting the person direct and if no luck will complain yet again......

Interesting points raised in this thread.  I have not had any problems with GR yet in the last 4 to 5 years and have had a lot of contacts in the first week (3 cousins etc) keep finding more matches and since not all of my tree is on GR (I have 13,000) then I am still doing well with the contacts.  Not found many yet on RC but still hoping to find some more.  Did PM somebody a few times on RC with a definite link but no reply yet!  I also use world connect and gencircles to see if any matches.  Generally google and other specific search engines that search genealogy sites.  Basically I use a blitz everything approach and find I do get contacts.

Well my Genes Reunited problem has been sorted out....sent them a message on friday, had a reply from the person who had added my living names to her tree, after I'd contacted her twice and had no reply, she said sorry and removed the names, sent another message to Genes R last night to say what had happened. Got a reply from them this morning and they confirmed the names are removed! Now that's what I call service ;D
