In 1841 John SHEER and wife Jane with ALL their children are living in Tywardreath. He is a blacksmith.

In 1851 John SHEAR and family ...with a whole lot more children are living in Perran Ulthnoe? Penzance...he is still a blacksmith.

One of their children Richard is 9 in 1851, so born circa 1842 in Tywardreath.

Hiya deb & Toni* back once again   I haven`t  got the 1841 census for John and Jane Sheer as i looked on the Freecen census and nowt, i did find the 1851 /61 though and in 1861 census Mary Goldsworthy their daur M 29 and their is a Thomas Prynn a Gr Son age 11 and he is in the 1851 census as well .  I did find an 1841 census of a William and Catherine Prynn in Tywardreath with a daur Elizabeth and a son Robert and a Mary Shears the granddaughter age 10 also a Jane Warne a granddaughter  age 2mth.   Thats an unusal name TARKITT must be in the family some where.   I haven`t got a Robert born to John & Jane Sheer yet unless he is in the 1841 census.  Cheers for now.  gladys

I found Richard TARKITT Sheers b 1842, Tywardreath on IGI. I have just looked on BMD and found this ... Richard  TERKEET Sheers, Mar q 1842, St Austell, Cornwall ....

I can't find anything on IGI with this name ... will keep on looking.
