Hi,

I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents and siblings of Josiah Rossiter born July 15th 1892 in Wigan.

Parents are given as Alfred Rossiter & Catherine ( maiden name Summer) who married in the December Qtr of 1880 at Wigan.

Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.

Many thanks for the posts.

After your posts I found Alfred & Catherine with the Robinsons. Was a bit surprised that he came from London.

The gap between Lily & Frances was a bit large and I was surprised that there were not more children.

Checked FreeBMD and came up with a few Rossiter deaths in infancy in Wigan so its possible there were more children.

Is it possible to check Alfred in the 1861 Census to find his parents please and hopefully I will be able to link him and his famly with their ancestors in my database?
