In an attempt to establish parentage of William and Ann, I will do some mental doodling ... WATKIN burials were not exactly plentiful at Brant Broughton in the period 1813-1860.

There was a George WATKIN buried in 1824 aged 19, so born around the same time as Will.  The IGI gives his parents as Thomas and Susanna - perhaps Will was a brother.  There was also a Mary bap 1798 (she married George DOUGHTY at BB in 1818).

Looking at the names of the kids of Wm and Ann

1827 Susannah (Will's mum) died 1828
1829 Mary (Will's sis)
1831 Martha (Ann's mum)
1833 George (Will's bro)
1835 Jemima
1837 Thomas (Will's dad) died 1851
1839 Ann (Will's wife)
1842 Susannah  (Will's mum)
1844 Elizabeth
1847 Francis (Ann's dad) died 1848
1849 Jane

Mother Susannah was buried 1848 (81)
There was also a Charles buried aged 2 days in 1841 ... perhaps never baptised.
Don't cry because its over. Smile because it happened.

A very big thank you to Newfster, Geoffe and Katherinem for all your help in finding William and Ann.

I agree with you Geoffe it looks more like Ann Bennett now then Ann Hill. At least it only one marriage and not two like I though it was.

Also thank you for the census info.

So I would just like to say a big THANK YOU to you all for the help in findinding them for me another brick wall knock down,

Thanks Geoffe,  George could be William's brother have just found out that William was 49 when he die in 1851 so that makes him born between 1801- 1803.

I can't see a suitable marriage for Thomas WADKIN and Susanna.  The 1841 census suggests she wasn't born in Lincs.
