I have just read the original writing on the postcard again to see if it makes anymore sense. I think the second side says
"Edward is in Eygypt, Patrick in Manchester Hospital, but ???came home last fr?? Sallie is in Keswick and Rose Ann is hopeful to get married ??fortnight or so ?soon Hoping Mickie and you keeping well."
If Mickie is Michael then that would indicate that maybe he has left Workington and is now is Manchester?? Maybe the card is to his future wife Elizabeth. He didn't marry her however until 1919. Am I naive to think that they wouldn't be living together at that time withour causing a great scandal? He was discharged from the army after 66 days and so didn't see any active service! But that appears to be another story. (Aren't they all!)
Sorry to be rambling on a little but this postcard has been really bugging. Why did someone have to trim off the edges!!!
Anyway if anyone has any brighter ideas, I'm sure you do please let me know!!
