Welcome to rootschat oleveo,  :D

have you tried looking in freebmd  for your John?
You can find the site on g**gle by using the search term     freebmd

If you have any  more info on John Fender Taylor can you geive it to us... things such as approx when he was born? when he married, who he married?   This makes it easier for people to be helpful.

Let us know how you are getting on with chasing this,

charlotte

Hi
Putting Fender Taylor in to FreeBMD, as Charlotte suggests, brings up 6 births - including one for John in 1865 and also a possible marriage for him to Catherine Ann Dunn.   Getting the certificate for that will give you his father's name.  Getting the birth one will give both parents.
Do you have your Nanna's birth certificate which will confirm her mother's name to show if the marriage is the right one?
I assume that as you know he was born on Holy Island you have the 1901 census which shows Rosella as 5 months old.  They are in Jesmond.   Let me know if not.

I'm not confident that his birth cert will show his father's name  :-\

You are lucky that you have such an unusual combination of names to research.   Take it one step at a time and work back from known facts.  Write down a rough tree now and see how many dates etc you can add in from the information that various people have given you.  The come back to us to see if we can fill in more for you.  It helps if you make it clear what you already know.
Have fun!
