Hi Sandra,

Thanks for all your help but remember Annie was maybe married before she left Ireland.  However, I have not been able to find this.   So she could of been Annie O'Halloran or Annie Halloran.  She is a real mistery to what happened her.

Thanks again for all your help

Kieran

Ps I was able to get the other two death notices which gives me more names to look at

Hello Kieran,

Pleased to hear you have found some further information to help your search.
Yes, I have checked McKernan and Halloran/O'Halloran/Holloran/Haloran etc and found nothing suitable.
This is the DIAMOND thread - information about others should be a new thread. - otherwise it is getting to complicated for others to try and follow.  It takes a long time to go back over/re-read and check what has happened previously.

Regards
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

Any chance at find out death dates for any of these as I have found out that the British Library has a good collection of newspapers so if I have death dates I could look up the death ntocies for some clues.

Thanks

Catheine I find rather a mystery because you originally were looking for a birth 1895.

On the 1900 Census, Catherine was listed as born 1888 Ireland and was 13 years old  ???
Catherine isn't with the family on your 1911 Ireland Census Record.
I can see a SSDI Record for a Catherine Duryea born 11 Aug 1897 Died July 1980 Brooklyn. Kings. New York.

and another SSDI for Catherine Duryea born 6th May 1900 Died January 1967

The first one was married to Frank F Duryea and their is a US Veterans Gravesite information for that one below

Name: Catherine Duryea
Service Info.: SGT US ARMY  Birth Date: 11 Aug 1897
Death Date: 20 Jul 1980
Relation: Wife of Duryea, Frank F
Interment Date: 23 Jul 1980
Cemetery: Long Island National Cemetery
Cemetery Address: 2040 Wellwood Avenue Farmingdale, NY 11735-1211
Buried At: Section 2d Site 2371

If Catherine was born 1895-8 then I would have to assume she went back to Ireland with the family in 1907 so would hope to find a passenger record of her returning married or unmarried. Have'nt found an unmarried one yet.

Hi Sandra,

Do you have any idea what newspaper woul have carried the obituary?

Thanks

Kieran

Hi my name is Padraig McKeon.

I've been doing some searching and came across the chat room with you're post regarding George Gardiner. I have been trying to find out information regarding a George Gardiner with a daughter Bridget McKeon (nee Gardiner)1849-1928, she would have been my Great Grand Mother. They were from Edenmore, Kilclare, Carrick on Shannon. Co. Leitrim.

I am wondering if there may be a link?

Hi Podge,

Thanks for your reply.  There maybe a connection but I haven't made it yet.

If you have any information in what way you think it fits let me know but the McKernan side of my tree is very empty as I can't seem to find my grandfathers two sisters who went to America.  Sorry I am not of more help.

Thanks
Kieran

Hi Keiran

this is what I have:-

My grandfather Joe McKeon, married (12th Feb 1870) Bridged 'Mae' Gardiner born Kilmaltranny, Co. Sligo 1849. She died 12 Sept 1928, her father was George Gardiner.

My grandfather's sister Frances Maria (10-05-1884-23-04-1943) married Anthony McKeirnan. I think he was from the Ballinamore area of Co. Leitrim, they had 2 boys Mel and Oliver.

I haven't got mush further than that at the moment

Yours

Podge
