cardiff, PM sent.
Just to let readers know that cardiff has given me great help and advice in my quest to help find a living rellie to who I can pass these certs n photos onto to.
FH is fascinating and I like a challenge, more so when it comes to fruition.

Me and cardiff have been working "off the thread" due to safe guarding the identity of living rellies and what I can say now is that there is somewhat "some revelations" with this family. We all have or find skeletons with FH and this family is no exception.
I always try to remain open minded and to respect others, especially those that are living and who are living with new revelations that will have turned their lives upside down. Unless I am given permission to elude further, I doubt I will be able to add anything further to my findings in relation to certain aspects of this family.

I will endeavour to upload the photos, which are old, with names once they have been identified.

Hi everyone and cardiff

Well what we have found out is truly amazing and life changing for others too.

This journey started with a bundle of certs, photos and some momentos. With twists n turns and all the like, I have
persevered to find a living rellie to hand them over too.

I certainly was not prepared for what has come to light, this has been a truly fascinating journey of FH and the
twist that cardiff is related via marriage, how small this world is.

I love challenges, that is what drew me to this quest, I look forward to doing "another" again in the future.

cardiff, your PM has blown me away  :o :o :o :o

Pwelperran, Llanbadarn, Knighton, Radnorshire, the birthplace for George Morgan..

After more searching for the Morgan family, I have found some info for Pwelperran... >>> The English interpretation of this village name, according to ‘A Study ofRadnorshire Place Names’ by Richard Morgan, means 'St Padarn's Church in the Mountains'. Pwlperan or Pwelch Perran as the Tithe Map of 1840 refers to it as, according to our translation from a Welsh dictionary, means 'Pear shaped pool' pwl meaning pool, peran meaning pear<<<
more details can be found here from the Mantles family history, somehow these and the Morgan's become entwined ..
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.burns11/http:/homepage.ntlworld.com/s.burns11/html/chp8_mantle4.htm

on this link there is a photo of Pwelperan cottage and details of how to find it... >>> Pwlperan is in the back of beyond, nestling in the folds of the hills some 10 miles from Newtown, <<<
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.burns11/http:/homepage.ntlworld.com/s.burns11/html/chp1_mantles.htm

Richard Morgans, which will be some rellie to George Morgan, some info here.... >>> However, Richard Morgans has Mantle connections: I believe he was born in Llanbadarn Fynydd in 1798, the son of Thomas Morgan(s) and his wife Elizabeth, who in 1841 and 1851 are at 'Pwlperan', Llanbadarn Fynydd. Elizabeth was the daughter of Richard Mantle (d. 1806) and Catherine Stephens (1743-1824)<<<

Unknown names for 1/2 photographs -

For some reason I cannot upload this photograph onto this thread, but I have uploaded this one into Restoration and Dating, needs some touch up work

Unknown names for 2/2 photographs -

Again I cannot upload this photo either onto this thread, so this is in Restoration and Dating too
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=559693.new#new

this photo has now been touched up by rsinbad and looks brilliant,
also
Bilge has "identified" the uniform as that of the  Artillery, see link for info.
Other RC's think the photo is c 1940/50's.
I have checked the WW1 Medal Index Cards for a George Morgan in Artillery, there is many of this name, so I will work my way through them and see if I can cross ref any on Ancestry etc., for Service Records. Not found any Service Records for him.

UPDATE...

I am now in contact with a family who are most likely related to these people mentioned. They are at present doing some research into the names that they believe are the same as some of theirs.

I will update again when I know more, especially the names to the 2 photographs and maybe the dog.
