I have viewed the cemetery register and the purchase of plot register today.
I could not find his name in the purchase of plot register which may indicate the plot was not purchased.

Interesting: The age is a little off, but I suppose this is not necessarily significant.

Also Denmark is mentioned and not Sweden. New clue, new problem or simple mistake made back in 1930?

Janette and Kiwihalfpint: I heard back from NZSG concerning the book "Svenskarna i Nya Zeeland" and the undertaker McIvor:

"The book does not give any further information on this man. Details in the book are taken from his New Zealand naturalisation record (birthplace Skee, Göteborg och Bohus), and date of death from his death certificate. As he did not marry in New Zealand there is no information on his marriage or any children he may have had.

Unfortunately the McIvor Funeral Directors records do not contain any further information other than the date and place of burial."

I suspect the cemetery register has errors in it,the death printout should be accurate
