Hi,

Have you written to the convent or contacted her religious order for information?

She was aka Wronsley . Any help appreciated . Im assisting a lady from Pretoria

Additional info not included in post

She was in England in 1915 - aged 23 occ Typist and returned to Capetown in April 1926

At that time she was a teacher aged 34 and passenger list shows her address as Glanmor House - Sketty - Swansea which may possibly have been a school or a private house if she was a private tutor

She must have returned to England after 1926 as there is an outgoing passenger list in 1934 back to Capetown - no English address shown

Exactly what type of info are you looking for as it is very doubtful there would be any records of her employment between 1915-1926 and ?? return date and 1934

Thanks for the help . As you might say she was well traveled. But she gave an address as Glanmor House Sketty, Swansea on one of her travel documents. I have split the enquiry into two parts one the person and what happened to her in her life and two the building Im not sure but I have a hunch it may turn out to be a teacher training centre.
I have also started another third thread looking at her life in the 1950's when I am informed by the lady in Pretoria that Alice returned to Wales as a Nun ! and then her name was Sister Alice Benjamin.
I am aware of her stay in Radnorshire  during WW1. Other than that I know no more but help is arriving fast !!!!  The enquiry I had originally had very little information apart from her birth in South Africa in 1892 and that she became a nun in much later life. So it is the Swansea part of her life first as a target.
