Glanmor House was situated on Glanmor Road/Glanmor Park Road. It was owned by a Mr Edward Thomas and later by Iltyd Thomas - it housed Craig y Nos Preparatory School between 1923 - 1940 and after this date became Glanmor Club. The site is now flats.

You already have her address in 1926 and her occupation.
Between 1926-1934 she must have returned to England - what date did she return and what was her address at that time?
She then returned to SA in 1934 occ teacher - so what date did she return to England after 1934 and what was her address on the passenger list?
It would suggest she entered the convent after 1934 and probably in SA before coming back to England as you say she "returned as a nun"
By 1934 she was 42yrs old so was a "late" entrant so have you checked any convent records in SA where she may have taken her vows?
In which convent did she serve in Wales?
Did she die in Wales or in SA?

Hello,
It is confusing with the threads as information often overlaps.
What religious denomination was Alice?
I see from elsewhere on the internet that the convent is 'undecipherable'. I wonder what means exactly. Indecipherable to whom? Is the obituary of her mother available?
The piece also states that she 'may have joined the Academy'. Has that been followed up?
Regards
Heywood

That info would suggest the school was C of E rather than RC

Info and requests for info is now being posted on the other threads so there is a risk of duplicated efforts. It would appear that the welsh address was a school and some info suggests it was not RC
I think guidance is needed from the moderator as to whether the 3 threads should be merged
