William and Edward Steele births, sons of Albert and Nora

Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me find the birth and possible marriages of William and Edward Steele, they were the sons of Albert Steele and Nora Ruby Blanche Roberts.

Albert Steele was born in 1893 and died in 1983, his wife Nora was born in 1897 and died in 1986, both their marriages and deaths can be found on familysearch.

They had a third son named Albert, born 1921 and died in 1991

Just to help others, Nora and Albert's marriage was 20 Nov 1914, Cedar, British Columbia, Canada so presumably the birh of the children will be after this.

1921 Canadian census:

Albert Stelle   27                     England
Nora Stelle           22                     England
William Stelle    6                      British Columbia
Edward Stelle    3                      British Columbia

So this puts their DOBs at about 1915 and 1918.

From what I can see online birth registrations for BC seem to stop at 1903.

I was told that Canada is a bit more restrictive with its records, odd that they stopped putting them up after 1903

Parents - Joseph Steele and Elizabeth Irving - the marriage of Albert and Nora reply 12 on that thread. The deaths of Albert and Nora given reply 13 and 14. Reply 23 gave the headstone link for Albert.

Edward was the informant on Albert's death cert - reply 27 listed Edwardat 3760 Nowell Road. Nanaimo. BC  with a wife A and a son R C a student.

Looks like William I Steele was the informant on Nora's death cert - 311 - 2550 Departure Bay Nanaimo British Columbia.  (Under Coroners Investigation - could mean there was an inquest on Nora  ) So a request to the library could provide all sorts of info.

Possible Obituary:-

William Irving Steele Born 5 th June 1915, passed away very suddenly 30 January 2008, in Saanich Peninsula Hospital. Predeceased by his wife, Ella (Babe) in December, 2002 etc etc

Canada Voters List 1972 shows William Steele (Pipefitter)  Mrs Ella Steele and a son G - student (listed in obit above) 144 Strickland Street, Nanaino, British Columbia.
