Thank you both for all the information. I'll get it all written up and then turn to the Forsters-I think on another thread with a link to this one.

I'd like to get back further than Robert Atkinson (bc 1796) if I can.

duthai - Thank you for the extra info. I did have quite a bit of that but need to check it. John Forster seems to have had at least 2 wives, maybe 3 (? Eleanor, Emily, Jane ¿) .  The  ones I'm sure of are Eleanor Robinson (who married Charles Atkinson) and William Hamilton (exec on John's probate).
