Hi,
I am looking for information on Edward Cairns b Aberdeen c1895.
He subsequently moved to England , Northumderland/Tynemouth area and married Sarah Brydon
Any information would be great. The name Nevin may be connected to him too.
Thanks

Have you tried looking for his birth on Scotlands People to see who his parents are ? Not seeing him on the 1901 census in Scotland is this his marriage in 1922 Northumberland to Sarah Brydon

How certain are you that he was born in Aberdeen?

I keep looking at this family:

Just a possibility. :)

Thanks Maureen and Sandra, Maureen I think you have it, as I am researching for a friend and she thought her grandfather was born in Scotland,but it looks as though her gt grandfather was instead. I am sure these are the right family as the head is called Miles and so was her Dad ,not a common name. Thanks so much to you both.

This is odd:
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JQHL-63X

When I input the birthdate on a free search of the 1939 register with just surname CAIRNS-up pops an Edward living Seaton Valley UD. ???

Have to go out and do some shopping.

~~~ to Sandra. ;)
