Another fault on Ancestry?
« on: Thursday 21 February 19 13:16 GMT (UK) »
If I do a random search for someone and get a certain number under 'family trees' when I then click on this to view them all I get is a white box showing once again the total number of results, 10 per page, page 1 of 1 and that's it!   Can't actually view the trees at all.

This has only started today, has always been fine before - indeed was looking on trees yesterday.

Am I the only one having this problem (before I report to Ancestry)?

No problems for me.

Added:  And I use Chrome.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

I use Chrome, and as far as I know I don't have a problem - or at least I didn't before my sub ran out a couple of weeks ago.  But I noticed one quirk, where the result of a search might say (e.g.) Item 1 of -1, or 4 Items found, and then offered about 7.  Odd.  I don't know what exactly it meant.

Happening here too - started last night. Can see trees if I can see the person I want straight after I do an initial search, but not if I go into Categories and scroll down to Trees

Thank you PrawnCocktail - was beginning to think I was going crazy.   Like you I go into Categories and scroll down to Trees.

I use Edge and everything was working fine yesterday.

Reported to Ancestry in the end  and received a reply in which email lists a link to talk to an Ancestry Expert (Pam M.) - there is the beginning of a written reply from her.   Click on the link to view answer and what do I get - a white screen, Ancestry logo top left, Log Out top right and in the middle 'You're now talking with an expert'.    Er, no I'm not - nothing and nobody there, no links, can't even see the beginning of Pam M's reply in the email.

Am I mad?   You bet I am.

It is the same for me using Safari and Chrome on iPad. Shows the same number of trees for my person but no means of accessing them.
As I have posted before Ancestry is very unreliable at times with searches for me on iPad.
