The Settlement that the arrow points to is just north of where I'm talking about - i.e. Glenvarren Cottage

Hi Gadget and Forfarian, and the ancient "Settlement" marked nearest to Fiddleton Bankend is given as Glenvore  :)

Mark - when adding to your previous postings, it's usual and polite to indicate that you have. Why are you doing this?

Hello Gadget and Forfarian, I believe you were spot on with that double fronted Cottage with two roof dormer windows and small central skylight! Very short section of fairly straight road before the Northerly bend too (now fenced).

Neighbouring property currently to the South must be Fiddleton Bankend, Ewes, Dumfriesshire (per map found), which was next to Glenvore (a settlement location anciently), alias Glenvarren, Glenvorann, Glenvoran and Glenvorn, Ewes, Dumfriesshire.

I think you might have to delete those, Mark - copyright on maps, etc. is quite strict. Why not put up links instead.
