raa, I couldn't find a death for James Jnr b. 1904 in Scotland, so that death you have found in Liverpool looks a good possibility for him. Did search for him on the 1939 Register in England, but nothing shows for him that I could see.

There are still Hollywoods resident in Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston.   Arthur Street was off Pan Brae and Quay St. at the harbour area and is all now demolished and has Aldi and Iceland Stores on the site .... used to be Saltpans, a Smithy and a Boatyard and a private rail line from Canal Street in olden times.
St. Meddan's Place was Council Housing probably only built in the 1930s and my wife's family lived opposite in McNay Crescent from 1946 onwards so knew all their neighbours but she can't recall Hollywoods from there but worked with a Hollywood lass in Ardrossan. The Henrys of St.Meddan's had relatives in Arthur Street, It's hard to find on old maps but from my childhood memories there was a stushie about a resident refusing to vacate their house when demolition was due ( check the Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald archives for details ) and also Union Street next to it.
Happy hunting
cheers, Ian

Yes, Arthur Street was in Stevenston rather than Saltcoats.

Arthur Street in Saltcoats too, near the harbour, now demolished.  I remember walking past it often.

From the index for 1921, there is this likely household in Stevenson, Ayrshire:

James Hollywood 50
Annie 45
Joseph 21 www.findagrave.com/memorial/15233762/joseph-dickson-hollywood
James 16
Annie 15
Thomas 12
Mary 8
John 6
Maggie 4
Peter 1

Ref 615/ 12/ 12

This family was also in Stevenson for the 1911 census.

So, this was the family we had discussed earlier?
