Kia ora
John Risbridger was a carpenter and he also had a farm called Hedges (now known as Slab Castle) where he lived with his wife Mary (Mott) and their family, and subsequently, Mary Penfold, nee Gates, and her family by him. With his second wife? (don’t think they were ever married) they lived at Sidlow Mill which is in the Domesday book and is the oldest mill on the Mole river. John died in 1772.
Nga mihi nui (very best wishes)
