Denbighshire / Re: Brymbo Burial, WREXHAM
« on: Wednesday 27 February 13 11:32 GMT (UK)  »
Thank you Heather and brevitas for your replies.

I have a newspaper announcement of Frances's death in which it says she was a member of the Wesleyan Connextion for 32 years. I haven't a clue what that was, but obviously something to do with the church. Would there be a clue there as to where she may have been buried?
When her husband died he left a will, so I would presume there may have been money to have a decent burial and headstone.
They were from Wrexham where he had a business.

Cheers

Hi John

Thanks for looking anyway, at least that rules out St John's

Denbighshire / Brymbo Burial
« on: Tuesday 12 February 13 17:48 GMT (UK)  »
A piece of information if possible please.

Today I found ( I think ) the burial records of my 3x gt grandparents on Findmypast.
All it gives is the name of the place, Brymbo and I'm wondering which church this maybe.
I'm thinking St Marys as the graveyard looks quite big.
If it's not St Mary's, where can I find out the exact cemetery,   they were buried in 1852 and 1864.

These ancestors were from Wrexham.

Many thanks
Erika :)

Not sure if this could be her, but there is a baptism on Ancestry

Liverpool St David  June 11 1837
Elinor Jones daughter of Richard and Margaret Jones. He was a joiner.
The Street name is a little difficult to make out, can't work out what the first letter is!! Could be James Street.

Hope someone can see a record for you in LRO

I have just downloaded a record from The National Archives for Charles Frederick Cooper born 1899.

It is his service record from the Royal Navy.

Unfortunately he is not my man, so if he may belong to you, please let me know and I'll be willing to let you have the copy.

London & Middlesex Resources / Re: Metropolitan Police Records Online
« on: Wednesday 22 August 12 16:07 BST (UK)  »
Hi Barnaby.

Wow what a wonderful resource, thank you for all the time and effort you have put in to make it possible for us to use.

However I am at a complete loss as I have no idea when my man joined, but have just got his death cert today, so have some clues.
Frederick Charles Cooper died in 1914 of TB age 33 and occupation given was formerly a Police Constable ( Metropolitan)
He had married in 1909,age 28, where he states on his marriage cert he is a Police Constable.
From these clues I wonder if you could point me in the right direction as to where I should start my search.

Many thanks in anticipation
Cheers
