I have sent you a PM (personal message).
Coincidentally my mother’s maiden name was Jenkins.

Unfortunately the area occupied by the market gardens have been built over.   If you go onto Google Earth and select Vaynor Street Aberystwyth.  Half way up on the left of the street is a small alleyway.   This accesses the allotments.  Mr Walton occupied the area now covered by a block of flats (light coloured on the map).  The path continued through to Loveden Road.   The area after Walton’s was also an allotment, owned by a Vearey family, now also sadly built over.
A large black and white cat, that had adopted our family, caught rats in the allotments and would proudly display them to Mr Walton’s delight.

As a child, I remember a Walton who owned a commercial allotment below North Road.   It was accessed by a lane off Vaenor Street.   He seemed to have been around 50ish in the late 1940s But to a child everyone seemed to be about that age.   I to remember he drove a blue Morris Cowley Bullnose which even to me as a child was a rarity.

I was under the impression that James Storrs Fry was born and lived in Bristol

Thank you Trish.   Do you have a date for the census information on John A. Jones

Cardiganshire / Jones Family 1916 to 1940 - Aberystwyth

I am looking for any information on a Jones family between 1916 and 1940.   The head of the family would have been Elizabeth Jane Jones (1877 Trefeurig) widow of Richard Jones killed 1916 at Mametz.
Children with one exception all born in Talybont.   David William (1900), Richard Trefor (1902), Ceinwen (1905), Thomas Isfryn (1907), John Alwyn (1910) and Elizabeth Ann (1912 Aberystwyth).
At the time of her death, the mother, Elizabeth Jane Jones, was living at 41 Greenfield Street, Aberystwyth and is buried in Aberystwyth Cemetery.
Any further information greatly appreciated.

That sounds a better bet, my Montgomeryshire geography leaves a lot to be desired outside of Carno
