George & Ann’s children

Eldest daughter Margaret 1808 2nd son James 1824 – Ann’s parents

Eldest son John 1815 2nd daughter Elizabeth – George’s parents

If they followed the English naming pattern but not all did their parents would be as above.

However I note a tree on Ancestry has George’s father as James but I do not see a birth record for him and I guess the year of birth comes from the death below?

I note the baptisms at Stapleton and I can see where the name Margaret Moffit came from. I cannot see an Emerson/Moffit marriage in Great Britain.

I note a tree on Ancestry which has Nathaniel & Sarah as the parents of James.

I also note there are baptisms in Leigh for a Margaret Throp, which might be worth a look. I do not see any records for the Cubborn names that you mention.

Hello Colin.

I have the Baptism records for the children of all three families and some of the Godparents named are the same for all of the children.
Thanks Margie

So where does Margaret Throp fit in?

This looks likely to be Alice & Ann, except for the latter's marriage in 1776?

Winwick, Lancashire, father Thomas Dickinson

Alice Dickinson born 3 Aug 1759 baptism 11 Aug 1759

Ann Dickinson born 16 Nov 1763 baptism 4 Dec 1763

Plus others 1754 – 1768

I note the marriage of Margaret one year later than posted.

James Dickenson to Margaret Throp 24 Apr 1784 Winwick

I am trying to understand how Ann and Alice are siblings of Margaret?

Thomas Bonny to Ann Dickonson 1776 Winwick, Lancashire

Ralph Allen married Alice Dickenson 4 Oct 1787 Winwick, Lancashire

I thought this might be of interest.

1861 census-62 Saltmarket, Glasgow

John Melldown 32 a Coal Hawker born Ireland
Mary Melldown 32, William 3

Did Mary then have twins?

MARGARET MULDOON mmn QUIRK 1861 CLYDE

MATTHEW MULDOON mmn QUIRK 1861 CLYDE

Deaths

MARGARET MULDOON 0 mmn QUIRK 1861 CLYDE

Could this be an error for Matthew I wonder?

MARTHA MULDOON 0 QUIRK 1861 CLYDE

Only two deaths for Mary in Scotland 1861- 1864

MARY MULDOON mmn BROGAN 1862 ABBEY BURGH, Renfrewshire

Additionally I believe Susanna is Elizabeth’s illegitimate child prior to marriage. (Marriage status was “single”).

Sorry again just remembered your original post.
