Thomas born abt 1801 and Margaret abt 1802 children Susan, Martha, John, Thomas, William and James. Believe Thomas' mother was Frances.

Willing to share info with interested parties.

I am researching the Shin / Shinn family from Eriswell. Have got back as far as John Shinn born 1797 father John and mother Susannah Bugg. ( They were married on 12th Oct 1795 Eriswell.)

John Shinn born 1797 married Sophie / Sophia Mysen 9th Jan 1831( I believe in Eriswell). Sophia christened 22nd April 1804 to William Mysen and Rachel Bareham who were married 17th Oct 1797 Eriswell.

John and Sophia's children Mary, Mysan ( Mison), Henry, William, Sarah and Thomas.

Willing to share info with interested parties.

Thank you for your reply.
I'm not certain as to why Anne Flynn was mentioned but I do know that there was a time that some relatives abroad had started to research the family history. When you go onto roots.ie website the only Margaret with Father Thomas that is recorded is the one with Anne Flynn as the mother.
I've had a look at this website and it would appear that there were two Ray / Rea families, one from the Virginia area and one from the Bailieboro area. I would need to get details from Margaret's brother Thomas' birth records. I believe he was born 1864 Bailieboro.

Am trying to research my family from the above area. Names include Winters, Shannon, Keating and Quigley.
I believe that the majority of their time they would have come under St Catherines in Meath Street.

Does any one know if their records are anywhere else other than with the parish or at the Dublin Diocesan Archives? ( Depending on year documented).

Have been to the Irish Life centre re records but to no avail.

Also does anyone know that if you were to look through prison registers would there be any more detail available to you other than that recorded by the LDS on their website.
Thank you.

Thank you - but now I've obviously got a problem. Looks like two families have got mixed up.

Our story in the family goes that Margaret Ray born 16.11 1856 married John Smyth ( Smith) 28/2/1874. Her father was Thomas Ray and the family thought her mother was Anne Flynn !!

We know that  two brothers Thomas and John ( Greaghnamale)  lived not too far from where she was ( Tullynaskeagh)

In my research I have two links to Wilson families.
Hugh Wilson born abt 1826 ( father Hamilton) married Susanna Cain born abt 1826 ( father John) on 1st Dec 1848 1st Presb Bailieboro. They were both from Drumkerry. They had a daughter Margaret Anne born abt 1850 who married Joseph Ross born abt 1843 ( father Joseph) on 4th Aug 1868 1st Presb  Bailieboro. At that time the Wilson's were living in Galboly Bailieboro.

Violet Clarke born 7th Sep 1934 married 1952 to George Wilson at Knockbride Parish Church. Both buried in the churchyard.
