Hi again cardiff
Many thanks for your help, I have great problems with the pronounciation of Welsh words let alone the area!!! Any help is greatly appreciated.

I cannot find Alice's family on 1891 census, have you found them?? Trying to establish her surname spelling.

I only have the short version of her birth cert, so does not have any parents details on. Therefore I have to "think, is this the correct birth cert for her" .. on the 1901 census and her on the marriage cert, both different surnames and not being able to find her siblings births under Roberson but can with a T in it?? Also same for her fathers possible marriage, again with and without a T. But then everything seems to tie in together !!

On her marriage cert, the writing for her fathers occ is very difficult to read, I think it could be Dairyman, defo ends with ..yman the first letter could be an open D or a shortened J which could mean Journeyman.

I have just found something abt the area of Glamorgan in 1891 this is what it says.. does this mean Tongwynlais was part in Glamorgan??

thanks cardiff, you beat me to it, yes I think this is all the same family.
2 sisters married 2 brothers then.
Still no nearer with this surname !!!! the thing is my partner is a Robertson with ancestors from Glasgow down to
London and Gloucester area's, but I have not been able to link these with his.

I have been in touch with a Rootschatter member who has Morgan from Radnorshire in her tree, she cannot find any reference to this Morgan family with hers, she does state that there is many many Morgan in that area.

Silly me, 1911 cen Alice would be Robertson, she didn't marry until 1913.

Off for a cuppa and do tea, will look at all this again later, thanks for you help Cardiff.

The photos with these certs are of two sets of people, one wedding and the other a portrait sitting being older than the wedding one. The wedding could be of Alice n George  and  the portrait of her parents, don't look like his parents.
A photo of a dog.
Also a horseshoe with flowers which I think may have come off a wedding cake and a St Christopher, most likely a very cheap metal.

Hi
George Morgan had a witness Pryce c1883 on marriage cert and on 1891 census, brother or cousin ??

Found this on familysearch.org for that marriage of Charles Robertson to Mary Jane Haddrell possible parents of Alice Roberson/Robertson.

marriage:   11 Mar 1879 —Bristol, Gloucester, England
record title:   England Marriages, 1538–1973
groom's name:   Charles Robertson
groom's birth date:   1857
groom's age:   22
single.
bride's name:   Mary Jane Haddrell
bride's birth date:   1851
bride's age:   28
single.
groom's father's name:   Charles Robertson
bride's father's name:   Charles Haddrell

indexing project (batch) number:   M17286-9
system origin:   England-EASy
source film number:   1596544

Bristol is just across from Cardiff & Pontypridd via the Severn, so very likely one or both could have been working in Bristol at time of marriage.

Hi again
I saw that one for 1861, but didn't have time to study it, saw the different surnames and wondered if father may have died and mother remarried, but had no time to look at 1851 cen.
You have done good work on this family cardiff and so quickly too   ;D

So now we have the families for both sides.... hopefully  ::)

Now for the children of Alice & George Morgan... got to remember they could still be alive, so names cannot be published here, unless they have died with certainty.

Do you know if a local library at Pontypridd n Bridgend have copies of parish registers on microfiche that would do some look ups for me, to see who the parents are for these births that I have ??

Thank you very kindly cardiff, I know you have helped me before with some Anglesey FH and I appreciate your help and input.
