Hi again cardiff
Many thanks for your help, I have great problems with the pronounciation of Welsh words let alone the area!!! Any help is greatly appreciated.
I cannot find Alice's family on 1891 census, have you found them?? Trying to establish her surname spelling.
I only have the short version of her birth cert, so does not have any parents details on. Therefore I have to "think, is this the correct birth cert for her" .. on the 1901 census and her on the marriage cert, both different surnames and not being able to find her siblings births under Roberson but can with a T in it?? Also same for her fathers possible marriage, again with and without a T. But then everything seems to tie in together !!
On her marriage cert, the writing for her fathers occ is very difficult to read, I think it could be Dairyman, defo ends with
..yman the first letter could be an open D or a shortened J which could mean Journeyman.
I have just found something abt the area of Glamorgan in 1891 this is what it says.. does this mean Tongwynlais was part in Glamorgan??
