william robson and margaret telford missing wedding cert

why cant i find there marriage cert in northumberland records anyone any ideas please

It would appear that this info should be on whichever post you are referring to above.  As a new post,  it makes no sense as there is no background info to link it to anything such as dates etc

This is guesswork as I don't know the background

If Margaret was previously married - this is what happens:

Margaret Telford marries Joe Bloggs and is then widowed

Margaret Bloggs marries William Robson

Birth certs for children of the second marriage will show her true maiden name of Telford

Can I suggest you lock this post and put the info on the relevant previous post

There might not be a marriage.  My gt.grandma's maiden name is shown on all of her children's birth certs but she never married my gt.grandpa.

i was just wondering that if she got married as in 1871 she was in corbridge and 1881 east denton with william robson (husband) and her first child was william 1878

I looked at this for quite a while last night and can't find a marriage between a Telford and a Robson anytime, anywhere.  I also looked at marriages for a Margaret Telford 1871 to 1881. Two showed up.
One to a John Mabon and the other to either a Charles William Clark or a Robert Wright,
In the 1881 census the only John Mabon as a likely candidate is living with a Jane Mabon but they are both unmarried and I can't see a Margaret Mabon of right age and place of birth.  Just with a quick look the other two don't check out either.

Margaret says she has been married 34 years so around 1877. Now they never seem to move out of the area and Corbridge registration district comes under Hexham.

I have been around in circles with this and still cannot find a marriage.

Because she is consistent with her birth place the 1871 census with father Robert and the 1861 with Robert and mother Mary looks good. The 1861 has her as 2 years old and the 1871 as 5 but looking at FreeBMD I think the enumerator may have mixed up Margaret and Mary Ann's ages

same here i have looked at it from every angle and searched it truly has me baffled plus its like trying to get blood out of a stone when you ask the relatives about the family its a closed book so i have thought for a while something was hidden away ..i thought getting the birth cert of barbara robson (daughter) i would be flying lol and they are still giving me problems 

most of margaret and williams children you cannot find anything on as well all i know is about 5 of the children died ..you would think they would be in someone elses tree etc but there is nothing
