I had a sense of well being on Saturday.

I was indoors and heard a "honk honk" - I scurried outside and was rewarded by the sight of a small skein of geese flying north westward.

We used to see large skeins of geese twice a year as they flew to their summer, then winter homes.  The last time geese flew overhead was about twenty years ago when they were flying south east for winter.

I spent some of yesterday helping a friend at her bookstall as part of a local festival
We were next to main stage and there were some very good young singers a gospel choir a magician and some children's dance troupe ( didn't see much of them ) .

A filmmaker acquaintance filmed some of the acts and also came to our stall and filmed me talking about ladybird books and the memory packs that I was making (years1952- 1996 )

A lot of interest but no purchases and my friend didn't cover her coats ..chdren just as interested as usual but parents tightening purse strings

What an interesting diary .....
Visited the Teignmouth Folk Festival on Saturday, a free event.
A pleasant enough day.....overcast but not cold. (Which it was yesterday with strong North winds.)
Far fewer people around in Teignmouth.
The green near the sea front is normally packed, but not this time!
We did have 3 hot days last week with light breezes. Heatwave didn't last long!!
