Ah yes, you had mentioned about the little one who died.

You have the information about the 3 boys out here now and perhaps a relative will find it some day and make contact.

I'd still be getting their files from Barnardos. It should tell us where the boys were at least up til 1919.

Apologies if someone has already said this:

Albert Edward Culverhouse was born 03 Aug 1901 per the workhouse records.

The 1939 Register has an Albert Edward WARREN born on that date.  He is married, but everyone above and below are redacted.  He is a porter, living in Paddington.

This could be his birth reg., but there are many MANY Albert Edward Warrens born around then.  Just the mother's  name listed as Young caught my attention:

WARREN, ALBERT  EDWARD      YOUNG
GRO Reference: 1901  S Quarter in FULHAM  Volume 01A  Page 339

He shows up more than once.  He is listed (and then struck out with a note to see Page 13). List below him is a wife Mary, born 15 May 1899, who is noted as a daily cook.

And an Albert Edward Warren born 3 August 1901, dies in Pwllheli, Caernarvonshire in January 1970.  Notice of the settlement of his estate appears in the London newspapers in 1970.

Albert Edward Warren as a bugle boy, right birth date, next of kin is mother Edith (did she go by her middle name or is this the wrong person?)

His records are here (and free if you register), that shows her address.  Problem is, this is 1915, and he should have been adopted out by then? Although, that doesn't mean his mother is still next of kin, I suppose?

Searching the 1939 register for all Albert Warren's born on 03 Aug 1901 +/- one year yields only the one person, so hopefully we are on the right track!

Edith's address is given as 28 Maxwell Road, Walham Green, Fulham. Did OP originally indicate that Sarah Edith died in 1915?
