:o  My, my but this thread has been very quiet for eight weeks.  Is there nothing to talk about?  Or just too much Christmas?

How about twins?  Anyone want to discuss twins?  Twins are always interesting - and sometimes useful.  They tend to run in families and to manifest in alternate generations.

Since there aren't, to my knowlege, twins in the Thompson line, one wonders about Charles Havelock's girls.  Did they result from the genetic imput of Elizabeth Foster's parents or from that of Grandpa Henry Lee? Do you know any other twins in Lee descendents?

Cheers,
Westoe

Hello Cherielynn,

Here's another for your list of family ships:

brig "Jane", 247 tons

partially-owned in the late 1700's by one of Annie Lee's greatgrandfathers and later partially-owned by one of her grandfathers, which would make them respectively 6G- and 5G- grandfathers to you.

Cheers,
Westoe

Have found my samuel Kidd who married Mary Jane Small (jarrow) were settlers to Logan Utah.
In 1880 they were already there.
How do we find out how they got there and from whence they sailed?
Thank you.

Hi
I have just stumbled on this thread whilst googling Havelock & Sunderland.
I have Edward Wharlton/Walton Havelock born 1838 child of George & Frances Havelock who marries an Eliza Carter DOM 1859 Sunderland.
I saw other Havelocks marring Carters on this link and wondered if there was a connection.

Also have John Chapman Lord who married Eliza's sister Mary . John is a shipbroker in 1857 living in Church walk Sunderland wondered if there is any info on him or the Havelocks please?
Best wishes
Jenny

Hello Jenny,

Was his father also named John? Did he have a younger brother named William? And another brother George who died in infancy?

Cheers,
Westoe

Hi Westoe,
No his Father was George Lord & Mother Elizabeth Chapman. John Chapman born 1834, did have a brother George but no William. His Father George had a brother William though.
Best wishes
Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Don't suppose your George Lord was born in Sunderland in 1829 and recorded as a shipbroker? (Daughter Emily?)
