www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk is the main site for info re BMD.  Scottish BMD certs give details of mother plus her maiden name & for the period you mention you can download them

It is a pay per view only by purchase of credits - not a subscription site

Have you looked for the people you mention on censuses?

No marriage in 1905 for the people you mention.  An Alexander Halli...... Hunter married an Annie Campbell Gordon

No Hunter/Munro marriage in 1902

No birth for an Alexander Easton Hunter in Scotland or England

The Hunter/Stenhouse marriage in 1875 is available on Scotlands People

Where did your parent get the info from and how are the names connected to your FH?

Alexander Easton Hunter was I think the son of William Hunter and Sarah Stenhouse. His birth is showing in New Monkland, Lanarkshire in 1876.

I suspect that in 1881 the family are living in New Monkland

William Hunter 28 b Falkirk
Sarah Hunter 27 b East Lothian
Alexander 4
Celia 1 probably Cecilia
William 1 mo

Sarah Stenhouse Hunter died 1 June 1885 of bronchitis in Bathgate. SP index gives her mother's maiden name as Wilson. It looks like William remarried.

I think Alexander Easton Hunter married Annie McPheat  in New Monkland in 1897, not 1906. ( An Ancestry tree has the marriage cert. attached).

William

Dent (Haltwhistle and Sacriston), Bell and Jetson (Haltwhistle), Postle, Ward, Longstaff, Purvis, Manners, Parnaby and Hardy (Co. Durham), Kennedy and McRobert (Banffshire), Reid(Bathgate), Watson (Wemyss), Graham (Libberton), Sandilands (Carmichael), Munro (Dingwall)

From the details posted by William above, looks like a mining family. Alexander's birth place is showing specifically as West Longrigg in 1881 (the birth cert will let you confirm full details). Just some further details here https://canmore.org.uk/site/85465/west-longrigg

Yes - they're in Bathgate in 1901 with children William and Annie, and sister in law Jeannie McPheat
